some event upNates

April 30, 2018 in Uncategorized

last weekend, in true multisport fashion Nate and Bill raced the OMBC series stop at Mohican – Nate took the top step on a large Grandmaster field and Bill was third!! – now that the weather is getting a lil better and we are starting to get some events going – we will be posting what we have been up to here on this site – send anything you want to share to Nate – :-)

this weekend brings some more sports opportunities – a 5k and a grueling gravel ride back down at Mohican – consider this a lil reminder to check the calendar for many events in the area…:-)

we have the Salt Fork trail run in a couple weeks – just a reminder you all get a nice discount on this OO event –

up and running for 2018

February 22, 2018 in Uncategorized

greetings all –

this site is up and running again – we have been asked by our sponsors to get active – so we are gonna work on this and make it happen – (and this site got renewed, so – let’s get after it) –

we are becoming a MULTI-SPORT team – and not a TRI only team – so we are thinking of changing the name of this site to reflect this difference – our members do many different events – so let’s reflect all the thing we are in to as athletes :-)

labor day ride

August 23, 2015 in Uncategorized

YO – Baffletes – we are changing the venue for Sept 3 ride – it is going to be from the Winking Lizard in Peninsula – Lock 29 parking lot – maybe a lil different route – a lil earlier start time – 6:00 as we are losing a lil more light every day – so come down and ride with us – 6:00 from the Lizard on Sept 3 – pre labor day extravaganza – might have some door prizes as well…and if weather does not cooperate for a ride we will turn this into a nice trail run – maybe a lil Pine Lane Loop out of Lock 29

not all events are triathlon

Here is an event report – one of our team doing their first 100 mile ride – thanks to Katya V. for this account…

Here is another event report from Nate L.

I have not had the chance to do a tri yet this year – odd injuries have kept things at bay – the most recent was stitches in a finger that had me unable to swim – or really grab the bars of a bike – (Ed S. understands this as well) – this past weekend i had the chance to compete in a Ragnar Trail Relay as part of a 4 man ultra team where all members did 30ish miles.  the take away from this event is that running three separate times about 10 miles each is actually a bit harder than a full 50k IMHO. the timing of things like rest/recovery/food plays a bit of havoc. on this particular weekend the weather was less than optimal as well – MUDD is a 4 letter word at this point. but suffice to say, it was fun and i met some great new people along the way, if you get a chance i would encourage you to try one out. the endurance life is more than just triathlon, with that said, my first tri will be a 1/2 this weekend @ Mohican, stay tuned for upNates…:-)
