About Us

BAFF Multisport was founded in 2009 by the owners, employees and close friends of both Fleet Feet Sports Northfield and Bike Authority with the goal of creating camaraderie while training and racing triathlon. In the first season, the team was made up of fifty selected members who the team managers felt would best represent the stores and the sport. The team experienced great success in its inaugural year, along with several personal highlights within the team.  We also helped organize, support and volunteer the bike and run course of one of the premier triathlons in the area, The Greater Cleveland Triathlon.

Team members compete locally, nationally, and internationally not only in triathlon ranging from sprint distance all the way up to the Ironman but also race road cycling, cyclocross, all distances of running races and endurance swimming events.  Even though triathlon is a six-month sport in Northeast Ohio, our team trains and competes twelve months a year in a variety of events.  Team success depends upon individual success in triathlon. Individual highlights of team members include ’09,’10, ’11, and ’12 USA Triathlon (USAT) Age Group National and International Championships for the international distance, ’08, ’09, ’10, ’11, and ’12 Ironman 70.3 World Championship (which included an age group world champion), ’11 and ’12 Ironman World Championship, an age group HFP Points Series Champion, and a USAT age group number 1 ranking and Athlete of the Year Honorable Mention.
